Rakie is set to appear in ITV's Code of a Killer, a drama based on the discovery of DNA fingerprinting and its use in solving a double murder. Rakie plays Helena Adarkwa in the first episode, which is set to air on Monday April 6th at 9pm.
Long time no update! Apologies for the lack of updates in recent months - there is, however, plenty of news to get through. Rakie recently appeared in episode three of the current series of Midsomer Murders, playing folk singer Alice Winner. The episode is available to view on ITV Player here until March 14th.
Rakie can also be heard as Fanta in Radio 4's Three Strong Women, an adaptation of the best-selling Marie NDiaye novel, as part of the Reading Europe season. The first episode is available to listen to here until March 10th, while the second episode is available here until March 17th.
In theatrical news, Rakie will soon appear at Sheffield Crucible Theatre in the plays Crave and 4.48 Pyschosis, as part of the Sarah Kane season. Crave will run from Friday March 6th until Saturday March 21st, while 4.48 Psychosis will be staged from Saturday March 7th until Saturday March 21st. Tickets start at £12, and are available from the box office on 0114 2496000. A complete pass for the whole Sarah Kane season, which also includes the play Blasted, is available for £36.
